TESTAMONIALS                                                                         TESTIMONIALS

I am Nathan Harris, a retired Marine with 20 years of service. On March 10, 2015, an Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter (callsign: MOJO69) crashed in Navarre, Florida, claiming the lives of 11 service members.

In response, I established the Marine Raider Memorial March, organizing a 770-mile ruck march from the crash site to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to honor their memory. During the planning process, I had the privilege of working with Allan Smith, a Marine veteran with an exceptional ability to document extreme events. Allan and his company Pipe hitter Media played an integral role in documenting the march, while also logistically supporting it! Allan produced an incredible award winning documentary that immortalized the sacrifices of our fallen brothers.

In 2017, another tragic loss impacted our community when KC-130 YANKY 72 suffered a catastrophic midair emergency, crashing in Itta Bena, Mississippi, and taking 16 lives. Once again, the Marine Raider Memorial March honored them with a 900-mile ruck march to Camp Lejeune on the one-year anniversary, July 10, 2018. Allan was embedded with us throughout, ensuring every moment was documented with precision and respect, and once again produced an incredible documentary.

His work remains a powerful tribute, ensuring that the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those we lost are never forgotten.

While working with former US Marine Steve Reichert and preparing for our initial product release, Reichert strongly recommended we use Allan Smith at Pipe Hitter Media for our video production. As a former Marine, Allan was a perfect fit for us because of his knowledge of the firearms industry and the Special Operations community. Our initial product release required the best video production possible. My initial meeting with Allan and discussing a few of my ideas, I knew I could simply trust his creative professionalism.

On shooting day, Allan and the incredible team he put together knew exactly what we needed to showcase our new product. One thing that impressed me was their use of a state of the art drone used to capture key footage from an aspect rarely seen. Pipe Hitter Media then took all that video and edited it down to 4 short, very powerful videos that demanded a viewers attention. With extreme detail such as a rotating rifle and flash from the optic, these short clips built a momentum that a viewer had to explore further.  Two of our Pipe Hitter Media videos received over 30 million views during the first year we posted them and we’re still using them today. As for current and future video production, Allan Smith and Pipe Hitter Media is my exclusive “go to” company to produce badass video’s that generate excitement in our customers.

The art of telling a story via film lays in the hard work of capturing the right moments to elicit a visceral response from the viewer when it is done. An achievable goal if the filmmaker is willing to hone his or her skills in videography and have the dedication and persistence to gather the information which will give the viewer a chance to experience firsthand the story being told. I was introduced to such a story teller in the summer of 2018 while supporting the Marine Raiders Memorial March. Allan Smith, of Pipe Hitter Media, was tasked to capture the essence of the love and support of fellow Marine Raiders and the surviving spouses exhibited during a grueling 900 mile ruck in honor of those Raiders who died aboard Yankee 72 on July 10, 2017.

I watched Allan work tirelessly for 11 days straight to ensure he didn’t miss a moment as teams of fellow Raiders and survivors rucked from the crash site near Itta Bena Mississippi en-route to Camp Lejeune North Carolina. 24/7 was the schedule for the ruckers, so as it was for Allan.

Allan chose to place himself in a state of constant sleep deprivation to ensure he seized the poignant episodes which were taking place along the arduous route; to capture the essence of this heartfelt story he was to tell, and ensure he could place the viewer in any moment alongside the teams.

Hard work and dedication to getting it right is a benchmark for Allan but that alone does not make a story good. Great communicators know storytelling is the quickest way to win over an audience. It takes a master storyteller to do the same via film. Allan has that skill and Pipe Hitter Media has the technical prowess to showcase the message Allan is telling.  I have now had the chance to view other films Allan and Pipe Hitter Media have made. What I didn’t know during the 2018 Marine Raider Memorial March was that I was in fact watching a master story teller in the process of making a masterpiece.
